I hate modern phones. You are not even capable of replacing the battery without a heat gun and a set of other tools. I just dropped mine in the bathtub. For the Moto G5 I could have just taken the battery out and in the morning it would have been all set. But now my phone is dead because I was unable to open it and remove the battery. No f@cking heat gun!!! Nice video.

you dont need to remove the motherboard ands everything else you just havo to remove the motherboard cover battery display and thats everything. And you only need to remove the battery, fingerprint and display flex youre just making it harder and easier to mess up i did all my repairs on this particular phone without removing the motherboard and all the flexes.

When the battery was removed, there was a film or sheath beneath it, what was it for? Because when I removed it, I forgot to put it back benath the battery and now I'm facing the heating issue.

@EricWitrigs So I did manage to switch the screen and it works when turned on, and it charges fine. However, when the case is closed it doesn't charge and overheats, the battery also drains faster. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Wow, it seems really waterproof, but you've also had it underwater for a very long time. You can look over the small drops of water that dry out after time anyway. Good test
